Miss Nicola Roche is a Consultant Breast Surgeon at the Royal Marsden Hospital. She graduated in 1989 from Trinity College, Dublin. She was initially appointed a consultant at The Royal Free Hospital in 2002 but moved to the Royal Marsden in 2006. She is a trustee and meetings secretary of the Association of Breast Surgery (ABS) and is a member of the Clinical Practice and Standards Committee of ABS. She sits on the Breast Clinical Expert Group which advises the NHS on best practice for breast cancer diagnosis, treatment and care. She has a particular in reducing variation in care and ensuring equitable access to best practice for all patients. Research interests include management of DCIS and minimising the extent of surgery post neo-adjuvant chemotherapy.
